Thermal barrier coating (TBC) and cooling air systems are among the technologies that have been introduced applied in pursuing extensive development of advanced gas turbine. TBC is used to protect turbine components from higher operating temperature turbine, whereas assist lowering exposure protected surfaces. Generally, a operates three main operational modes, which base load, peak part load. performance under these modes has become essential be studied, as it will provide owners not only with behaviors damage mechanism but also life prediction particular condition. For load or so called steady-state condition, number studies reviewed discussed. However, found most conducted without assistance system, does simulate completely. From this review, on TBC-assisted system conditions summarized, limited test rig simulations thermal cyclic mode where represents conditions. The equipment temperatures, durations parameters taken into consideration review. Finally, capable simulating both effects at high turbines for prolonged condition proposed developed.
